This is a free sewing pattern for a simple, fitted tank top, designed to be made with knit or stretch fabrics such as jersey or 2-way stretch material. The pattern is ideal for creating casual wear, sportswear, or layering pieces.
Because tank top patterns are often too simple to be sold commercially, having a printable version makes it surprisingly useful for many sewing projects. The design is slightly fitted, so stretchy fabrics are recommended for a comfortable fit.
The sewing process is very beginner-friendly and can be completed quickly. You can customize the armholes or neckline to create your own style, or adjust the fit to match your preference.
After printing, align the joining lines, cut out the pieces, and start sewing. The pattern includes a built-in seam allowance (S/A), so it can be used immediately without adding extra margins.
What are “Grainline” and “Cut on fold”? Please refer to this page.
(1) Sew the shoulders and sides of the front and back bodice together, then finish the seam allowances by serging.
