This is a pattern for Hakama Pants, which can be worn like pants and have folded hems like a hakama.
They are very easy to put on as you just put them on like pants.
Since they are pants, the sides are not open like hakama.
The pants are made to fit around the waist, so you can wear them neatly without straining the folds.
Cut lines are marked at 2cm intervals at the inseam, so you can adjust the length.
The inseam length can be adjusted at the pattern-making stage.

How to make Hakama Pants

(1) Fold the "Pleat bottom fold line" and "Pleat top fold line" of the body with an iron.
(2) After sewing the sides and inseam of "Front bodice" and "Back bodice",Serge/overlock,Iron it to one side.
(3) Finish the zipper part.

(4) After Serge/overlocking the hem,Fold up 1cm with an iron,Sew with a sewing machine.
(5) Iron the pleats firmly to finish the shape.
(6) Apply fusible interlining to the "belt", Sew the belt on the pleats.

(7) Sew the "belt loop".
(8) Make buttonholes at the buttonhole positions,Sew a button at the buttonhole position.
