Tailor Collar Half Coat Sewing Patterns | DRCOS Patterns & How To Make

This is a pattern and instructions for making a half-coat with an oversized tailored collar.

In the back, we've added oversized darts to create a clean flare at the hem.

The pocket sections are dummy pockets.

If you use slightly stiff interfacing on the tailored collar section, you can emphasize the collar as shown in the photo.

After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.

The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.

The production process is explained with translation software.

(1) Separate the fusible interlining of the cut "facing" along the cutting line.

(2) Apply fusible interlining to the "Collar", "facing", and "Front bodice" (Lapel section).

(3) Sew the darts of the "Back bodice" up to the Sewing stop position, then iron and fold the seam towards the center.

* From the Sewing stop position downwards, iron and fold the seam towards the center.

(4) Attach the Fake pocket to the left chest position and the "fake flap" to its attachment position.

(5) Serge/overlock and sew together the shoulders and sides of the "Front bodice" and "Back bodice", then press open the seam allowance with an iron.

How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)

(6) Sew the "facing" together, then divide and serge/overlock after ironing.

(7) Sew the tailor Collar to the "Body" and "facing", press open the seam allowance with an iron, and make incisions.

(8) After serging/overlocking the "Body" hem, sew it to the "facing", then turn it inside out and adjust the tailor parts.

How to sew Facing and Hem

(9) Fold the "Body" hem up by 2cm and sew on a sewing machine.

(10) Serge/overlock the "Sleeve" side and "Sleeve" hem, then sew the "Sleeve" side and press open the seam allowance with an iron.

(11) Fold the "Sleeve" hem up by 2cm with an iron and sew on a sewing machine.

(12) Attach the "Sleeve" to the "Body" and serge/overlock the armhole.
