This is a pattern and tutorial for a hooded duffle long cape.
The pattern includes hand openings on the front. Using duffle buttons makes it very easy to create.

(1) First, Serge/overlock the hem of the "Body" and the areas around the neck, excluding the hood's neck area.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(2) Connect the hood, press open the seam allowance with an iron, and shape it with topstitch to secure.
(3) Sew together the parts of the "Front bodice" excluding the hand-inserting area, and press open the seam allowance with an iron.
(4) Sew the Back center line of the "Back bodice" and press open the seam allowance with an iron.
(5) Sew together the "Front bodice" and "Back bodice" and press open the seam allowance with an iron.
(6) Attach the hood to the "Body".
(7) Serge/overlock around the neck and the hem.
(8) Fold the perimeter of the cape, including the hood, by 1cm with an iron, and sew on a sewing machine.
(9) Secure the perimeter of the hand-inserting area with topstitch.
(10) Attach toggle buttons to the button attachment positions.
